VGA-Victoria hosted a popular seminar series over the two days of the National Vegetable Expo held at Werribee, earlier this month.
Growers, their staff and industry suppliers took the opportunity to chat with both VGA-Victoria Industry Development Officers (IDO), Slobodan Vujovic and Helena Whitman, and browse a wide selection of useful booklets and posters.


Guest presenters gave short informative talks on their work including, pest & disease management, weather trends and farm safety in the vegetable industry.
Growers also took the opportunity to discuss their particular issues with the presenters.

“Now I know what the’re saying when they talk about the Oscillation Index,” said one grower.

“I’ve heard about precision horticulture before, but didn’t know it was possible in the vegetable industry,” said another.
