Produce Management Program

A program designed for business owners and managers in all Australian produce industries ... and it's subsidised by HAL.

Participants work on key current issues with their peers from all segments of the produce and nursery industries and interact with an international faculty and recognised industry leaders.

The seminar format incorporates lectures followed by interactive discussion, in-depth case studies, workshops on issues and opportunities, group discussions and guest presentations.

The program is designed to develop knowledge and skills in :

- analysing and exploiting key consumer trends

- understanding distribution channels and marketdynamics

- servicing the domestic market

- strategy development and implementation

- managing commercial relationships

- designing and implementing an optimum supply chain

- creating and using innovation

- leadership and management of people

- successful business growth

- developing the appropriate business structure and culture

Critical consumer, retail, market, supply chain and industry trends, best practices and leading edge developments, both nationally and from around the world, are discussed and analysed.

A unique and important element of the program is the extensive use of syndicate groups involving participants from different parts of the produce industry in assessing the implications of materials presented, group assignments, workshops, case studies and discussions of industry issues.

When: Afternoon Sunday 3 May through to lunch on Friday 8 May 2009.

Where: Mt Eliza Centre for Executive Education, Kunyung Road, Mt Eliza (Melways 105 C2)

Cost: Horticulture Australia Ltd offers a $2,000 (plus GST) scholarship towards this course.
          Your out-of pocket costs will be $3,500 (plus GST)
