Business Update Sessions

Horticulture Industry Business sessions for the vegetable industry are being presented by the VFF horticulture group in conjunction with VGA.

Event is free to all growers and will cover following topics:

  • Horticulture Awards 2010 - VFF

  • Pacific Seasonal Worker Scheme - VFF

  • Managing climate risk - DPI Victoria

  • Chain of Responsibility - VicRoads

If you employ people then you need to be aware of the new National Employment Standards, Unfair Dismissal Laws and the new Horticulture Award 2010.

Learn more about managing climate risk through the government’s ‘Farm Ready’ project including looking at long term weather and rainfall trends in your region.

Are you aware of your responsibilities under Chain of Responsibility laws. Vic Roads will be on hand to talk to growers about fatigue and other laws.

The Werribee program will also cover :

  • Dispute resolution under the Horticulture Produce Code of Practice
  • Results of recycled water testing – AgChallenge
